The Philosophy Behind “Back to the Origin”

Presented by Meril and powered by X Force, this year’s edition distinguished itself by bridging the gap between generations. It honoured 25 outstanding contemporary creators while casting a nostalgic gaze backward to recognise the profound contributions of 13 legendary figures from the 1990s and early 2000s television, theatre, music, dance, and broader entertainment industries.

“Our desire was to reconnect today’s generation with the legends who laid the very foundation of Bangladesh’s entertainment industry,” explained Breity Sabrin, Co-Founder and CEO of The Marvel Be You. “Whilst creators are now adeptly shaping the future through diverse digital platforms, their journey is intrinsically rooted in the creativity, powerful storytelling, and cultural excellence that blossomed so vividly in the ’90s.”
